Hannah Magee
She was described as a very “comical” person. She lived with Kitty
McKenzie Dunlop and George Dunlop for the last part of her life. Laurie
Kirsch provided the following memory of Hannah: I
know that Hannah was still alive in 1935 because that is the year my
sister, Kay, was born, and Aunt Hannah wanted to see the new baby. My
parents lived in West Bend, and in those days a 35 mile trip to
Milwaukee was a huge outing. Also, my sister had a bit of a cold so my
mother did not want her to travel back and forth. Hannah’s eyesight was
pretty bad near the end of her life, so my mother pasted a large
picture of my sister’s head on a pillow and showed Hannah the “new
baby.” Hannah was thrilled and everybody was happy.
