Hugh Magee, 86, Rt. 1, Shawano, died Sunday evening at Shawano. He was born Nov. 12, 1900 in the town of Angelica to the late Hugh and Elizabeth (Blichfeldt) Magee Sr. He married the former Irene Thompson in Michigan 65 years ago in November of 1921.

Mr. Magee was a cheese maker for 17 years, was in the cattle business, and also trained and raced harness racing horses. For the past 40 years the couple has lived in the Shawano area.

Survivors include his wife, Irene; two sons, Elwood (Alva) Magee, Shawano; Curtis (Orriene) Magee, Rt. 1, Pulaski; one daughter, Mrs. Bill (Joyce) Scheider, Shawano; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Zernicke, Fond Du Lac; Mrs. Mae Terrian, Shawano; one brother, Kenneth (Mary Louise), Bonduel.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Friends may call at the Wendt Funeral Home, Bonduel, after 4 p.m. today until time of services. Funeral 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tom Burek officiating. Burial Rest Haven Cemetery, town of Angelica.
