Mrs. Albert W. Buege, Sr., 87, of 1624-25th St., Two Rivers, died late
Tuesday afternoon at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital where she was a
patient less than a week. Funeral services will
be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Grace Congregational United Church of Christ,
Two Rivers, the Rev. Vernon Hauser officiating. Burial will be in
Pioneers’ Rest Cemetery. Mrs. Buege, nee Mabel
Magee, was born in the Town of Two Rivers April 9, 1884, a daughter of
the late John and Sopphia Perrotet Magee, and was the last of the
members of the Magee family of five sisters and three brothers,
including the late J.F. and G. A. Magee, early Mirro Aluminum Co.
executives. She was married July 28, 1902, to Albert W. Guege of
Milwaukee, at Grand Haven, Mich. He was the pitcher for the Two Rivers
City Baseball team in the early part of the century, who died at Two
Rivers March 23, 1958. Mrs. Buege was a lifelong
member of Grace Church and a charter member and a past matron of Two
Rivers Chapter No. 229, Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are two
daughters, Mrs. F.A. (Bernice) Spilker of Columbus, Ohio, and Mrs.
Knowles (Edith) Pittman of Winnetka, Ill.; two sons, Albert Jr. of Two
Rivers, and Austin Buege of Menominee, Mich., 14 grandchildren and 12
great grandchildren.
