Miss Margaret Gibbs, 78, 463 Humphrey Ct., Shawano, died Wed., Feb. 25.
She was born May 3, 1897 to the late Mr. and Mrs. William Gibbs in
Shawano. She was employed as a librarian for most of her life,
living in Holland, Mich. for many years before moving back to Shawano.
While living here, she was employed at the Shawano High School. She was
a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Shawano, and was a member of
the Shawano Woman’s Club and Art Study Group. Survivors include a niece and several nephews. One sister preceded her in death.
Private funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 27 at 10:00 a.m. at
Woodlawn, with Rev. Donald Owen officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn
Cemetery, Shawano. Karth-Kopitzke Funeral Home, Shawano, was in charge
of arrangements.
