Mrs. James (Ruth B. Lutsey Bleick) Koeller, 76, 280 N. Fisk St., passed
away Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1998 at her home after a long illness. She was
born Feb. 9, 1922 in the town of Maple Grove in Shawano County to the
late Jay and Nellie Lutsey. She graduated from Pulaski High School and
Milwaukee College of Cosmetology in Green Bay. On April 15, 1944 she
married Carl Bleick in Shawano. Carl was killed in service in February
of 1945. Ruth married James Koeller on June 21, 1952 at the home of
Kenneth and Ceil Lutsey. Ruth was a member of St. Paul United Methodist
Church, St. Paul’s United Methodist Women, Martha Washington #124
Eastern Star, Nazarene Shrine #8, Daughters of the Nile, Green Bay
Women’s Auxiliary to the Shriners Hospital and numerous Bridge Clubs
which she thoroughly enjoyed. Survivors include
her husband, Jim; one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Allen Karr,
Howard, a granddaughter, Christi, a son and daughter-in-law, Richard
and Janet Koeller, Green Bay, and her grandchildren, DJ. And Lisa; two
brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas H. and Lillian Lutsey, DePere;
Kenneth and Ceil Lutsey, Green Bay; one sister-in-law, Henrietta
Prichard, Suamico; and nieces and nephews. She
was preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Nellie Lutsey, two
brothers, Robert and Jimmy Lutsey, a sister, May, and two infant
siblings. Friends may call at the Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano
Ave. from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. An Eastern Star service will be at 7
p.m. Thursday. Friends may also call at St. Paul United Methodist
Church, 341 Wilson Ave., from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday. The funeral will be
at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Fort Howard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
Ruth’s family wishes to express their gratitude to Ceil Lutsey for her
unending support to both Ruth and Jim with daily calls or visits,
talks, cards, and prayers. You’ll always have a special place in our
hearts.
