Magee, Wallace H. (Wally),
    Wallace H. (Wally) Magee, 77, village of Howard, died on Saturday, July 22, 2006, at a local hospital with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Wally was born on April 19, 1929, in Angelica, Wis., to the late William D. and Mary E. (Keohane) Magee. He graduated from Pulaski High School, served in the United States Navy and received an honorable discharge. On Sept. 17, 1951, he married the former Joyce Niedzwiecki and celebrated 55 years of marriage. They were long-time residents of the area. Wally enjoyed his family, especially his lovely wife, Joyce, his children and his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting trips to the family cabin in Tipler, and spending time at the cottage in Townsend. Also, he had a special interest in harness racing and a love for the Green Bay Packers. He was employed as a meat manager and merchandiser for the Red Owl and Lindy’s Stores until his retirement. After retirement, he managed the Redstone Trails Apartments, Howard. He was also past president and board member of Rest Haven Cemetery.
    Wally is survived by his dear wife, Joyce, their children and grandchildren, Deborah (Robert) Huettl and children, Nathan and Molly, Seymour; Greg (Kathy) Magee and children, Sarah and Mallory, Suamico; Michele (Bruce) Meyer and children, Cole and Chad, Suamico; Doug (Jane) Magee and children, Clare and Ryan (Sarah), Green Bay; and Amy (Joe) Schmitt and children, Emily, Bradley, Rylee Jo and Maxwell, Howard. He is also survived by his brother, William K. Magee, Texas; sister-in-law, Gloria Magee, Shawano; brother-in-law, Dr. Ted (Geri) Niedzwiecki, Green Bay; sisters-in-law, Patricia Balestrieri and Roberta Niedzwiecki; and Godchildren, Pamela Medford and Mark Magee.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; grandchild, Andrew Schmitt; brother, Marshall; brothers-in-law, Stanley, Harry and Edward; and sister-in-law, Winnie.
The family will receive friends at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 341 Wilson Ave., Green Bay, on Wednesday, July 26, from 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6 p.m. to be conducted by the Rev. Marty Williams. Full military honors will be presented. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery, Angelica, Wis.
    In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established by the family in Wallace’s name. Memorials can be mailed to the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home, 1145 Cardinal Lane, Green Bay, WI 54313, Attn: Wallace Magee Memorial.
